Kazakhstan is on track to transport approximately 1.5 million tons of oil through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline in 2025, meeting targets set at the start of the year, Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhenov said at a 2025 year-end briefing. The minister said the plan progressed without setbacks, reflecting steady operational performance and a reliable export channel.
The 2026 plan maintains a shipment volume of 1.5 million tons with ambitions to increase deliveries. Agreements between KazMunayGas and the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) could raise supplies via the BTC route to as much as 2.2 million tons per year. The potential increase underscores deepening cooperation and strengthens Kazakhstan’s role as a regional energy supplier.
